This is the perfect package for those seeking adventure within the jungle. Nevertheless, this package also offers a night stay at the well built wooden tower and includes basic amenities like toilet and shower facilities. During the quiet night stay in the tower, you will have the opportunity to witness a variety of wild animals like boars, deer, one-horned rhinos, a myriad of exotic native birds, wild elephants, and with patience and good luck, you could even get to witness a tiger.

Tower Stay at Chitwan

Our guides will be there with you during the entire visit, and you will also be joined by local jungle experts at the tower to point out wildlife and ensure that your safety is always paramount during the visit. Furthermore, quietly canoeing the beautiful Rapti river prior to reaching the tower will give you the opportunity to watch a variety of birds in the trees and see crocodiles lounging on the riverbanks, and perhaps spot a fish-eating Gharial. In the evening, you get the opportunity to attend a local Tharu cultural show after you come back from the tower, and this gives you an insight into their culture and beautiful dances.

Itinerary:

Day 1 Today you will be landing in Kathmandu and driving or flying to Chitwan National Park (depending on which option you prefer). The 5-hour drive or 20 minutes flight will take you to this UNESCO Heritage National Park which is home to many endangered wild animals including the rare one-horned rhino and Bengal Tiger. You will be staying in a resort and have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the area.
Day 2 After breakfast, you will be taken to the banks of the Rapti river from where you will start to canoe towards the tower. This serene journey along the river will steady your mind and create memories for forever. You will be witnessing a number of local and migrating birds along the riverbanks, and also see crocodiles and gharials. About half an hour later you will disembark and hike for an adventurous 20 minutes to get to the tower. You will get to see many wild animals tracks and prints, and may even get a chance to witness them while you are in the safe company of our jungle experts. Tonight you will stay in the tower, and you will get to witness a true jungle experience.
Day 3 On this day, You will hike around the jungle with our experts and witness the “Jungle-Life” with your bare eyes. You will be provided with a packed lunch. We will hike for an hour then explore the Elephant Breeding Centre and drive back to the resort in the evening. After a good shower, and perhaps a chilled beer, the local Tharu community will showcase their cultural dances where you get the opportunity to join in with them once their presentation has finished.
Day 4 After breakfast in the morning, you will drive/fly back to Kathmandu, and prepare to fly back home depending upon your flight schedule.

    Is this package children friendly?

    Yes, this package is ideal for the whole family and there is plenty to see and do whilst here. Enjoy the opportunity to get back to nature and leave the screen behind for a while!

    Are the total number of days adjustable?

    Yes. For the best experience we recommend at least 4 days, however, if you wish to extend your stay we can design your holiday to include more places of interest near Chitwan National Park.     Can I do it alone?

                No. The minimum number of participants is two, however, we have regular group departure dates and can arrange for single travelers to join the groups. You will have the opportunity to meet other people as passionate about nature as you are, so please contact us and we can advise you of our next tour vacancy.

    How safe is the jungle?

                You will always be in the company of a Beyul Travel &Treks representative and also an experienced local jungle guide. Your safety is paramount and we ensure you are in a safe environment at all times. However, we do insist that no-one leaves the tower at night, and please always follow the instructions of our skilled guides.

    What is the cost per tour?

                Costs are dependent on the method of travel (whether you choose to fly or drive to Chitwan National Park) and what level of accommodation you require – there are several different resorts available for you to stay at.
